Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Public Enterprise “Termokos” J.S.C., Mr. Kastriot Bllaca, hosted today a meeting with European Union in Kosovo representatives, led by Mr. Hubert Perr, Head of the Cooperation.
CEO Bllaca expressed his gratitude for the continuous and generous support provided by the European Union for more than a decade in the implementation of the company’s capital projects. EU support for the projects of “Termokos” has enabled the transformation of the heating system into a modern, sustainable system oriented toward clean energy.
This support was initially realized through the implementation of the Cogeneration Project, – using energy extracted at Kosovo B power plant for district heating, followed by other projects for the expansion, rehabilitation, and modernization of the district heating system, which has contributed to providing quality heating for over 100,000 citizens, as well as ensuring a cleaner environment for the citizens of Pristina.
Mr. Hubert Perr showed interest in the EU funded investments in “Termokos,” particularly in the ongoing capital projects, namely the “Solar 4Kosovo II” project and the Capacity Doubling Project. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the projects and their positive impact on improving the quality of life for citizens, supported by EU funds.
Since the implementation of the Cogeneration Project until now, the EU has supported “Termokos” projects with over 50 million euros. The EU remains one of the largest provider of financial assistance to Termokos, having financed and continuing to support the implementation of the company’s capital projects.
